Practical tips for your wedding
📸 Best light
In the afternoon between 3–5 PM, soft light falls through the large windows into the halls. For outdoor shots on Kornmarkt, the hour before sunset (Golden Hour) is unbeatable.
⏱️ Time planning
Plan 30–45 minutes for couple photos in the Palais. If we also photograph at Kornmarkt and in the old town, expect a total of 60–90 minutes.
🚗 Getting there & parking
The Palais is located at Kornmarkt 1, 69117 Heidelberg. Parking available in the P12 underground garage (Kornmarkt) directly beneath the square. Alternatively: arrive by taxi or vintage car via Hauptstraße.
💡 Insider tip
Ask the venue if you can use the staircase exclusively for 15 minutes before the ceremony for bridal photos. The staircase is less frequented and offers beautiful side light.

Yes! Civil ceremonies take place in the historic wedding hall. The hall accommodates approx. 60 guests. Registration is through the Heidelberg registry office.
I charge €50 per hour — well below the industry average of €150–250/h. For a complete wedding coverage (getting ready to party), expect 6–10 hours, so €300–500.
As your wedding photographer, I have access to all areas of the venue. I work discreetly and without flash to preserve the atmosphere. Use of all rooms for photos is typically included.
